I’m Mike Naughton. I write software. I travel. And I enjoy the world.
I’ve maintained or written many types of software, from enterprise asset management to a little recipe storing program for my mother. And I’ve maintained or written many LAMP stack websites, with varying requirements. Although I’m not the greatest software engineer in the world, I try hard and aim to please my users as best I can.
I travel. I love to see the different parts of this world which God has created. I’m young, and I haven’t seen much so far, but I hope to have seen quite a bit of this world by the time I lay my head down for the last time.
Oh yeah, and I love the world of startups! At the moment, I’m working for three of them, at varying points in maturity. I’m the co-founder of Fundle, the lead developer for bHeroic, and I’m working on a top secret project for a friend from Des Moines as well. Then I’m doing web development work for 8/7 Central as well.
Did I mention I’m still in college? Yeah, I’m majoring in Computer Science and Software Engineering (with a minor in Psychology), and I’ll be graduating in the Spring of 2013, having been attending Iowa State University to some extent for thirteen semesters.
